Westgarth English Hub

Westgarth English Hub, based in Marske-by-the-Sea, is proud to support infant, junior, primary and special schools in the north-eastern Local Authority areas of: Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Sunderland. Our overarching aim is to promote a love of reading for pleasure, and to support schools in providing the highest quality phonics and early language teaching for all children. We offer DfE funded CPD programmes and events; audits of school practice; targeted finance and resource allocations; and support days from our trained team of Literacy Specialists, all of whom are practising teachers drawn from across our diverse region.
