Myland English Hub

Myland English Hub, who are we? As an English Hub School, we are passionate in our belief that reading for pleasure and high-quality texts form the foundation for the effective teaching of language and literacy. Across the school, the pupils are exposed to and immersed in a wide range of texts; books are an integral part of our whole curriculum. We combine these aspects with a strong systematic synthetic phonics approach. Teachers regard teaching phonics as a critical aspect of learning to read. We believe that phonics provides the platform from which children can become creative, imaginative and fluent readers and writers.
